FAQs
What does Fur, Feathers ‘n Fins do?
Caring pet owners know that most pets adjust better to their owner’s absence and experience less anxiety and stress when they can remain in their own home. We make this possible with daily visits to your home. All visits are customized to fit your pet’s needs. Visits include: feeding, exercise, playtime, dog walking, cleaning litter boxes, and of course, lots of loving. We also provide vital home-care services while you are away, including mail or newspaper pick-up, plant care, placing trash outside for pickup, and rotating lights to make your house look lived in. We provide peace of mind for you and your pets. In-home pet care is the preferred choice of pets and their owners.
What areas do you serve?
East Snohomish County including Snohomish, Monroe, Lake Stevens, Sultan, Gold Bar, Machias, and Maltby.
Do you offer a complimentary get-acquainted meeting?
Yes, we will come to your home and meet you and your pets. We will discuss the details of the pet and house care services needed. At that time we will get contact numbers and vet information.
What kind of animals do you care for?
We will care for almost any animal, as long as they do not pose a danger to our safety.
How many visits do you provide for pets?
The number of visits is entirely your decision. For dogs, we recommend a minimum of 2 visits per day. Most people request 3 or 4 visits. It really depends on your dog’s needs. For cats and other animals, we do a minimum of 1 visit per day.
How long is each visit?
During each visit we take your pets outside for a potty break, refresh their food and water, clean litter boxes, and of course, give them tender loving care! We will leave you a note that shows time we were at your home, what we did for your pet with any comments that would be of interest to you, and any other services we performed such as picking up mail, newspapers, watering plants, etc. Most visits are around 30-45 minutes, but we charge by service, not time.
How much does a visit cost?
Our fees are based on the number of visits scheduled, number and types of pets cared for, the services provided, and the distance traveled. The final price quote will be determined at the get acquainted meeting.
Do you administer medication to pets?
Yes, we will administer medication: pills, drops, or ointment.
How are emergencies handled?
Emergency contact numbers and vet information will be provided to us at the get acquainted meeting. If necessary, we will transport your pet to the vet and contact you.
How can I check on how my pet is doing while I am away?
As part of our service, we update each pet’s progress on a daily basis using our blog on our website. Customers will also be provided with our e-mail and phone numbers.
Do you take last minute reservations?
Although not preferred, we try to accommodate our customers if our schedule allows. During peak season, summer, and holidays, it is important that reservations be made as far in advance as possible.
How am I billed and when is it due?
Our preference is for our clients to leave a check to be picked up at our first visit. Under special circumstances, other payment arrangements can be made. |
